This work will also reduce the number of impacts between trucks and the viaduct, which currently causes traffic jams on Greene Avenue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description of work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction of concrete pillars attached to the existing structure<\/li>\n<li>Reconstruction of retaining walls<\/li>\n<li>Installation of a steel beam at the approaches to the viaduct<\/li>\n<li>Installation of two (2) Variable Message Signs (VMS), infrared proximity sensors and video surveillance cameras<\/li>\n<li>Electrical work to connect the power supply to the equipment of the protective system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Access to the alley accessible from Avenue Greene will be maintained.<br \/>\nAccess to Rue Prospect and Avenue Clandeboye will only be possible from Boul. Dorchester for the duration of the work.<br \/>\nPlease note that notices have been distributed to residents of Greene, Prospect, St-Antoine and Selby streets, who will be most affected by the work.<br \/>\nSelby alley will be temporarily converted to two-way traffic to facilitate local access.
