Mayor Christina M. Smith and members of Council were attending the event.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, Anthony Chiasson, Archives and Records Management Division Head, gave some information on the process that led to the discovery of the capsule. Mr. Chiasson then proceeded to open the capsule and unveil its contents.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-89968\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2-300x250.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2-300x250.png 300w, https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2-1024x854.png 1024w, https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2-768x641.png 768w, https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/download-2.png 1140w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The capsule contained several newspapers from the 1920s, administrative documents, plans of the library, a few stamps and coins from that era, as well as unique photos of the City.<\/p>\n<p>The names of the winners of the contest launched by the City to select the contents of the next time capsule were also announced during the event.<\/p>\n<p>A video of the event is available on the City&#8217;s Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The unveiling of the time capsule encased in the City Hall cornerstone 100 years ago took place on Friday, October<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":64,"featured_media":89970,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6299],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
