Register here to learn how to be better prepared for earthquakes, to be counted in the 2018 drill, and to enter the contest (N.B. the registration and contest information is on the Quebec website in French, but all of the safety information is available in English using the links on the Quebec page).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Westmount exercise at WPS<\/strong><br \/>\nIn 2018, officers from the Montreal Fire Department (<em>Service de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 incendie de Montr\u00e9al<\/em>) and the <em>Centre de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 civile<\/em>\u00a0(civil preparedness centre) will visit classes at\u00a0<strong>Westmount Park Elementary School<\/strong>\u00a0between 8 a.m. and noon to talk about earthquakes and explain safety rules.\u00a0The entire school will then take part in the\u00a0Great Shakeout and some classes will be able to visit the mobile SIMulateur d\u2019incendie (fire simulation unit).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Millions of people worldwide will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:18 a.m. on October 18, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":14266,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6299],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
