Residents receiving new trees have been notified. Trees will also be planted in Stayner Park and Westmount Park.<\/p>\n<p>The species to be planted have been chosen to encourage biodiversity and include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quercus rubra<\/li>\n<li>Quercus alba<\/li>\n<li>Quercus robur \u2018fastigiata\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Crataegus x mordensis \u2018snowbird\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Tilia tomentosa<\/li>\n<li>Tilia cordata \u2018corzam\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Acer miyabei \u2018state street morton\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Cercis Canadensis<\/li>\n<li>Gleditsia triacanthos \u2018northern acclaim\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Salix alba \u2018tristis\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Juglans nigra<\/li>\n<li>Populus tremuloides \u2018erecta\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Amelanchier laevis<\/li>\n<li>Picea abies<\/li>\n<li>Larix decidua<\/li>\n<li>Tsuga Canadensis<\/li>\n<li>Pinus strobus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting the week of October 5th and if weather permitting, the City&#8217;s contractor, Rose Neige, will plant 150 trees on<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":82048,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6299],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
