{"id":80562,"date":"2023-05-08T09:00:11","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T13:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/?p=80562"},"modified":"2023-05-08T08:49:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-08T12:49:16","slug":"property-taxes-second-instalment-due-may-26-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/property-taxes-second-instalment-due-may-26-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Property taxes: second instalment due May 26, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><span style=\"color: #800000;\">IMPORTANT : because the summer office schedule will come into effect the week of May 23, Westmount City Hall will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 26.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The deadline for <strong>the second property tax instalment for 2023 is May 26<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Payment methods<\/strong><br \/>\nPayments are accepted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>electronically, through your bank online, by phone or at your branch<\/li>\n<li>by mail (cheque payable to the City of Westmount)<\/li>\n<li>in person at 4333 Sherbrooke Street West (cheque inserted in mail slot \u2013 NO CASH)<\/li>\n<li>by credit card\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/taxation-valuation\/#1439408458893-5dcf1d19-708d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">by clicking here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Penalties<\/strong><br \/>\nPayment can be made in two instalments. An interest rate of 9% per annum will be charged on the unpaid balance. A penalty of 0.5% per month on the outstanding principal will also be charged to a maximum of 5%, over and above the interest charges.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Voil\u00e0!<\/em> Your Online Property Portal<br \/>\n<\/strong>Property owners in the City can now receive and consult their tax bills online on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/westmount.appvoila.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Voil\u00e0!<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nVoil\u00e0! is an online portal developed by PG Solutions that allows the consolidation of information on a property\u2019s taxation data, assessment notice, and tax details.
