Smith and members of Council are pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Hadi Hakim to the position of Director General of the City of Westmount. Effective as of August 9, 2021, Mr. Hakim will step into the shoes of our current Interim Director General, Mr. Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Hakim holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from McGill University and an M.B.A from HEC Montreal. In addition, he brings over 20 years of progressive experience in the public sector with various municipalities, including Laval, Montreal, Outremont, and C\u00f4te St-Luc, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He was an outstanding candidate, and we are very pleased that we were able to offer him this position and that he&#8217;s accepted, and we look forward to him getting to know our directors, as well as our citizens and the work we have ahead of us. So welcome, Mr. Hakim. We look forward to the many, many projects that you will have ahead of you, but you are joining a great team of directors, and you are joining a great city,&#8221; said Mayor Smith during the Council Sitting of July 19, 2021. &#8220;We are really looking forward to you joining the team and leading this organization.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to join Westmount Council and administration in welcoming Mr. Hakim to our City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mayor Christina M.
