Pedestrian corridors have been added to the following streets in order to all citizens to more easily keep a 2-metre distance from each other:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Victoria Avenue, between Sunnyside Ave and Sherbrooke St<\/li>\n<li>Grosvenor Avenue, between Sunnyside Ave and St-Catherine St<\/li>\n<li>Arlington Avenue, between Cote-St-Antoine Rd and Sherbrooke St<\/li>\n<li>Strathcona Avenue, between Cote-St-Antoine Rd and Sherbrooke St<\/li>\n<li>Mount Stephen Avenue, between Cote-St-Antoine Rd and Sherbrooke St<\/li>\n<li>The Boulevard, between Lansdowne Ave and Argyle Ave<\/li>\n<li>Mount Pleasant Avenue, between Holton Avenue and The Boulevard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;<span class=\"s1\">We know how important it is for residents to be able to get outside, and as the weather temperatures <\/span><span class=\"s2\">warms<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, we want them to be able to do that as safely as possible. We have increased the number of pedestrian corridors throughout the City, and we will <\/span><span class=\"s2\">be adding<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> more,&#8221; Mayor Christina M. Smith said. &#8220;We must continue to do our part in stopping the spread of this virus by keeping a 2-metre distance from <\/span><span class=\"s2\">each other<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, which is a crucial part of the effort.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Due to the need to widen our sidewalks on The Boulevard to allow for physical distancing, two 66 eastbound bus stops have been temporarily removed at the corners of Belmont Ave and Renfrew Ave.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to provide residents with sufficient space to practice physical distancing, the City of Westmount has expanded its<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":59783,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6574,6299],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
