To carry out this work, the MTQ must occupy a large portion of the space. For safety reasons, access to the yards will not be possible for residents and private contractors.<\/p>\n<p>The work will have a very significant impact on the daily operations of the City and will introduce additional heavy vehicles, equipment, and vehicular traffic within the yards.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, all disposal sites within the yards will be closed and entirely inaccessible as of March 18, 2019 for an undetermined period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residents and private contractors are advised to use <a href=\"http:\/\/ville.montreal.qc.ca\/portal\/page?_pageid=7237,75371938&amp;_dad=portal&amp;_schema=PORTAL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Montreal&#8217;s \u00e9cocentres<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9cocentres are sites for the reuse and recovery of residual materials. They are available to all residents of the Montr\u00e9al agglomeration. They accept, among other things, construction and renovation waste, household hazardous waste and items that can be reused. \u00c9cocentres thus make it possible to divert a significant amount of residual waste from landfill, such as:<\/p>\n<p>Access to the \u00e9cocentres is free for Westmount residents.
