{"id":29501,"date":"2018-01-27T11:02:26","date_gmt":"2018-01-27T16:02:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/?p=29501"},"modified":"2018-01-27T11:43:42","modified_gmt":"2018-01-27T16:43:42","slug":"211-service-now-available-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/211-service-now-available-online\/","title":{"rendered":"The 211 service now available online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 28th 2017, the Board of the Montreal Metropolitan Community (CMM) approved the implementation of the 211 service in the Greater Montreal Area, allowing citizens of 82 municipalities in the CMM to have access to the full service (phone and web) in the year 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The first step involved that\u00a0<strong>the 211 website\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.211qc.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.211qc.ca<\/a>)<\/strong> listed the socio-community resources in Greater Montreal, this phase will be completed in early January 2018. \u201cThis site will not only help the population, but also counselors and social workers, healthcare and social services personnel, community organizations workers and the police services of the Greater Montreal area,\u201d declares Pierrette Gagn\u00e9, executive director of the IRCGM.<\/p>\n<p>In a second step, the telephone service will be implemented in <strong>April 2018<\/strong>. The routing work with the telephone companies should be completed in the coming months so that on April 1, the citizens of the 82 municipalities in the CMM can dial three easy-to-remember digits, 2-1-1, and easily reach an information and referral advisor who will direct them to the community resource relevant to their needs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>211 is an easy to remember (2-1-1) information and referral service available 7 days a week, from 8 am to 6 pm, 365 days a year.<\/li>\n<li>211 Community resources directory is also available on the web with information always updated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means that roughly 4,000,000 citizens will be benefiting from the 211 service.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/emergency\/\"><strong>For more information on important phone numbers and links, please consult the EMERGENCY page.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On September 28th 2017, the Board of the Montreal Metropolitan Community (CMM) approved the implementation of the 211 service in<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":29497,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6299],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
