To this day, more than 14% of the territory has already been cleared of snow.<\/p>\n<p>The snow removal teams have deployed 3 snow-blowers and 37 trucks to ensure the roads are as clean as possible. The main arteries that have been cleared are :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rue Sherbrooke between Notre-Dame-de-Gr\u00e2ce area and Westmount Park (commercial area)<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Greene between Rue Sherbrooke and Boulevard Dorchester (commercial area)<\/li>\n<li>Chemin C\u00f4te-Saint-Antoine (in part), Avenue Forden and Avenue Sydenham<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Clarke between Rue Sherbrooke and Rue Sainte Catherine<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Metcalfe between Chemin C\u00f4te-Saint-Antoine and Avenue Hillside<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Lansdowne between Rue Sherbrooke and Rue Sainte-Catherine<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Roslyn between Rue Sherbrooke and Boulevard De Maisonneuve<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Grosvenor between Rue Sherbrooke and Rue Sainte-Catherine<\/li>\n<li>Avenue Victoria between Rue Sherbrooke and Rue Sainte-Catherine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By consulting this interactive <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/resident-zone\/road-water\/snow-removal\/\">map<\/a>, you can follow snow removal in the City of Westmount in real-time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residual materials collections<br \/>\n<\/strong>Please note that specific changes have had to be made to waste collections to facilitate snow removal operations. Consult this <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.westmount.org\/en\/changes-to-waste-collections-to-facilitate-snow-clearance-operations\/\">link<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>When parking your vehicle in the street, please watch for signs indicating parking restrictions and move your vehicle accordingly in advance of the snow loading.\u00a0<strong>Parked vehicles that interfere with snow removal operations will be towed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>throughout the winter, the City WILL NOT PHONE RESIDENTS IN ADVANCE to remind them to move their parked vehicles.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pay attention to parking restrictions and MOVE YOUR VEHICLE before snow removal crews arrive.\u00a0<\/strong>This makes a significant difference in the speed and efficiency of our loading operations.<\/p>\n<p>Also important, post-snowstorm:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Snow from private driveways and walkways may be added to the existing snow banks\u00a0<strong>BEFORE<\/strong>\u00a0their removal, but must never obstruct public sidewalks, lanes or streets. Fines may be levied on homeowners and\/or contractors who contravene these regulations.<\/li>\n<li>It is the responsibility of property owners to inform their contractors of these rules.<\/li>\n<li>On collection days, keep all containers out of the path of street and sidewalk plows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your cooperation truly helps us do a better job.
