In August 2024, the City\u2019s Finance Department mailed one (1) reminder notice to the owners of the affected properties. <strong>On October 7, the City Clerk forwarded to the City Council the list of properties for which taxes remain unpaid. Council adopted a resolution ordering the publication and sale of the properties concerned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT DATES\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\">October 21, 2024 at noon: deadline for paying unpaid taxes and avoiding publication of the owner&#8217;s name in the 1<sup>st<\/sup> press notice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>October 28, 2024:<\/strong>\u00a0Publication in the press of a first notice containing the list of properties for which property taxes remain unpaid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>November 5, 2024:<\/strong>\u00a0Publication in the press of a 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0notice containing the list of properties for which property taxes remain unpaid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 9, 2024:<\/strong>\u00a0Sale by auction of properties for which property taxes remain unpaid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sale of properties for non-payment of taxes is carried out in accordance with the Cities and Towns Act.
