The Let’s Talk Opera! series offers a friendly and dynamic introduction to various operas presented throughout the season.<\/p>\n

Hosted by musicologist Pierre Vachon, in the presence of singers and a pianist, Let’s Talk Opera! dives deep into the heart of the works in 60 minutes to discuss the history, music, voices, cultural context, composer, style, etc., and offers musical excerpts by opera singers.<\/p>\n

\nAfter the great success of\u00a0Les feluettes<\/em>\u00a0(2016) and\u00a0La Beaut\u00e9 du monde<\/em>\u00a0(2022), Quebec playwright Michel Marc Bouchard is back with his libretto for\u00a0La Reine-Gar\u00e7on<\/em>, an adaptation of his play,\u00a0Christine, la reine-gar\u00e7on<\/em>. He is joined by composer Julien Bilodeau, with whom he has undeniably developed a privileged creative chemistry. Come and hear great Canadian voices, including those of Joyce El-Khoury and Etienne Dupuis, in a production staged by Angela Konrad (Yourcenar, une \u00eele de passions<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 2022).<\/p>\n
