Ville de Montréal: Complete closure of Route 136 westbound from September 6 to 9
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable informs road users that Route 136, westbound, will be closed, between exit no. 5 – Boul. R.- Bourassa/Pont Champlain/Pont Victoria and the entrance from rue Lucien-L’Allier (exit no 5 westbound will remain open), during the weekend of September 6. This road closure is required to carry out asphalting work which will improve driving conditions with a more level ride. Expect periods of congestion. The Ministry recommends that road users who must travel in the area to allow themselves more time to get to their destination.
Road closures and trafic management
From Friday, September 6, at 11 p.m. to Monday, September 9, at 5 a.m.
- Closure of Route 136 westbound between exit no. 5 – R.-Bourassa/Pont
Champlain/Pont Victoria and the entrance from rue Lucien-L’Allier. - Detour route: Road users can use Mansfield Street, the
rue Saint-Antoine Ouest and via the entrance ramp at rue Lucien-L’Allier. - Default closures: The entrance ramp to Avenue Viger Est and the ramp
entrance to rue Saint-Antoine Est.
The work could be postponed, extended or canceled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. So, before hitting the road, it is recommended to consult Québec 511, a practical tool for planning your travel.
The Ministry thanks road users for their collaboration. For user safety of the road and that of workers, respecting the signage in place is essential.
