Snow clearing operations – March 15, 2018

Snow clearing operations starts on Thursday, March 15th at 4 a.m. We expect the operations to last 2 to 3 days.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS – We ask everyone to please pay particular attention to the following directives during this period.

Snow removal: Snow from private driveways and walkways may be added to the existing snow banks prior to their removal, but must never obstruct public sidewalks, lanes or streets. Fines may be levied on homeowners and/or contractors who contravene these regulations. On collection days, please ensure that your materials are placed in a way that does not hinder the clearing of sidewalks, streets and lanes. Your cooperation makes a difference in the efficiency of our snow removal operations.

Parking: Advance warning of snow loading operations is indicated by flashing or fixed lights on major thoroughfares and by the installation of special no-parking signs on local streets. Please check carefully in the days following a heavy snowfall and pay attention to the temporary orange signage; parked vehicles that hinder snow removal operations will be towed.
