Sidewalk reconstruction on Boulevard De Maisonneuve between Avenue Olivier and Avenue Clarke

Starting October 21, 2024, the City of Westmount will begin sidewalk reconstruction work on Boulevard De Maisonneuve, between Avenue Olivier and Avenue Clarke. This work aims to replace sections of temporary asphalt and those in poor condition. The duration of the work is estimated at two weeks.

During this period, Boulevard De Maisonneuve will be closed to automobile traffic, and street parking will be prohibited between Avenue Olivier and Avenue Clarke. Detour routes will be established; it is essential to respect the temporary signage to ensure everyone’s safety.

Pedestrian access to residences will be maintained at all times.

Additionally, the collection of all waste materials (garbage, food waste, recycling, yard waste, and bulky items) will continue according to the usual schedule. Waste material should be placed at the curbside in authorized bags for 6 a.m. on collection day. Food waste can be placed in the green bin, which must be clearly labelled with the address.

Authorized bags include:

  • Food waste and yard waste: paper bag or certified compostable plastic bag
  • Recyclables: recycling bag
