Reopening of the playground at the Westmount Athletic Grounds (WAG)

The playground at the Westmount Athletics Ground (WAG) has been repaired and is once again open to the public. The repairs corrected safety problems with the surface of the playground.

Additionally, two new playground modules were installed as City crews took advantage of the worksite to replace the outdated playground equipment with new equipment, including new swings. The playground now counts a total of 8 swings, including two for toddlers.

A new fence, cedars, planters and grass will be added around the playground in the coming weeks. Additional work, such as the refurbishment of the basketball area, is also planned for the coming years.
