REMINDER – New 360-litre recycling bin for detached and semi-detached homes: unsubscribe before Oct. 18
Before the end of 2024, the City of Westmount will provide, free of charge, one (1) 360-litre blue rolling bin to detached and semi-detached homes ONLY to deposit their recyclable materials. Unlike the small open blue bins, the new 360 litre rolling blue bins preserve better the recyclability of materials against the elements, facilitate the work of collection and sorting employees, and help keep the City clean.
Delivery date for the new bins is unknown
Delivery will take place by the end of 2024. The date will be announced by the City in due time.
Only single-family and semi-detached homes are concerned
- A detached house is a separate, independent residential building.
- A semi-detached house is a house that shares a single common wall with another house.
- Attached houses, or row houses, are not affected by the bin change.
If you do not wish to receive a 360 litre bin, unsubscribe from the delivery list
If you prefer to continue using your small blue bin or transparent plastic bags, email environnement@westmount.org before October 18, 2024. Addresses eligible for new bins have been automatically added to the delivery list, so no confirmation is required.
If you reside in a building with 2 to 8 housing units, please confirm the number of large blue bins you need. Email environnement@westmount.org before October 18, 2024, to confirm the number of personal or shared bins that you want.
