National Denim Day for Breast Cancer Awareness

If you come by a municipal building today, don’t be surprised to see City employees wearing jeans! May 14, 2024, is National Denim Day – a day of fundraising and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.  

Current statistics show that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In Canada, CURE Foundation has been investing in programmes for prevention, treatment and support for affected families for over 25 years. CURE Foundation initiated Denim Day in 1997.
