Green grants: new categories for 2025!
Last year, the City launched its Green Grants programme which aims to encourage residents to adopt eco-responsible habits and choose reusable products, thereby reducing waste production.
Accepted products
Reusable diapers, sustainable personal hygiene products, rain barrels, domestic composters, eco-friendly and zero-waste products, and many more!
New categories:
BIXI memberships (monthly and annual)
- A maximum of 75 requests are granted for this category
Repairs of household goods
- Clothing, shoes, watches, bicycles, small and large appliances, and electronics. Repair rather than replace!
Partage Club membership
- Partage Club is a Quebec-based application that lets neighbors share items instead of buying them. It’s a solution to over-consumption that encourages reduction at source, while saving money!
Anti-waste food purchases
- Platforms such as Too Good To Go and Food Hero offer the opportunity to buy food products destined for disposal at reduced prices from participating retailers. Lufas Farms also offers ant waste packages.
Refund amounts
Reimbursement amounts vary according to the product, ranging from $20 to $150. Grants are available until funds run out.
Fill out your application
