Exo: Work on Avenue Greene Railway Viaduct from October 10 to December 15, 2023
To ensure the safety of rail traffic and minimize future service interruptions on lines 11 Vaudreuil-Hudson, 12 Saint-Jérôme and 14 Candiac, Exo will be securing the viaduct over Greene Avenue in Westmount. This work will also reduce the number of impacts between trucks and the viaduct, which currently causes traffic jams on Greene Avenue.
Description of work
- Construction of concrete pillars attached to the existing structure
- Reconstruction of retaining walls
- Installation of a steel beam at the approaches to the viaduct
- Installation of two (2) Variable Message Signs (VMS), infrared proximity sensors and video surveillance cameras
- Electrical work to connect the power supply to the equipment of the protective system
Important information
Access to the alley accessible from Avenue Greene will be maintained.
Access to Rue Prospect and Avenue Clandeboye will only be possible from Boul. Dorchester for the duration of the work.
Please note that notices have been distributed to residents of Greene, Prospect, St-Antoine and Selby streets, who will be most affected by the work.
