Weather permitting, commencing April 9 th, 2018, CP will be installing new ties as part of its tie replacement program on the Westmount subdivision.
- Westmount Subdivision, starting at mile post 0 and ending at mile post 4.0
Track maintenance is an integral part of CP’s safety program. Our significant investments in railway infrastructure help ensure trains operate safely through communities.
This work could impact residents in the municipalities and boroughs of Montreal West, Westmount, Lachine and Montreal.
Expected Duration: For approximately 4 weeks, crews will be removing and replacing rail ties within this corridor. The work will be done during weeknights, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. People should expect to see or hear heavy machinery noise, rail ties, banging, idling trucks waiting to proceed, dust, voices, and reversing trucks.
