Graduation activities
Following a recommendation from public health officials, it was announced that some relaxations of restrictions will allow for students graduating from high school to mark this important date with events. Beginning July 8th, outdoor prom events will be permitted to include up to 250 people, providing current health guidelines are respected.

Opening of bar terraces
Bar terraces may open June 11th; gathering is restricted to 2 adults from different households per table or the occupants of a single household per table (orange zone, until June 14th); and the occupants of 2 households per table (yellow zone, as of June 14th).

Sports activities
Supervised outdoor sports and recreation activities will be allowed, up to a maximum of 25 people beginning June 11th.

As of June 25th:
Gatherings of fully-vaccinated individuals will be permitted in private residences. Day camps and summer camps will be allowed to reopen.

Also, festivals and other outdoor activities will be allowed to resume with a maximum of 2,500 people. Specific measures for festivals and large outdoor events will be announced at a later date.

Wearing of face coverings
Face coverings will continue to be required for people who are not fully vaccinated. As of June 25, fully-vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear face coverings when attending private gatherings. This measure will apply to some public places or events beginning in late August. Details of the measures will be announced at a later date.

Please note:

  • Adherence to health measures and screening for symptoms of COVID-19 remain very important over the next few months to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
  • A person is considered fully vaccinated one week after receiving their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The second dose is necessary and provides optimal protection over the longer term.
