Garden waste collection resumed
Due to the service interruptions over the last month, the garden waste collection resumed on August 10. Because of the accumulation of materials, however, the weekly schedule will not be in effect for the moment.
Please place your garden waste at the curbside in paper bags or in open containers. Materials will be picked up as soon as possible. These materials are also accepted at the Belvedere Road depot (free for contractors with a City permit and for Westmount citizens with proof of residence) and at Montreal’s ecocentres (proof of residence required). The Belvedere depot is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 11 a.m.
Guidelines for branches:
Small branches
- Cannot exceed 1.2 meters in length and 5 cm in diameter.
- Must be tied with natural twine.
- Accepted at the Belvedere Road depot.
Large branches
- Includes stumps, logs, tree trunks and branches larger than 1.2 meters in length or 5 cm in diameter.
- Not accepted in the garden waste collection or at the Belvedere Road depot.
- Must be disposed of at an ecocentre:
- Côte-des-Neiges Ecocentre, 6925 Chemin Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal
- LaSalle Ecocentre, 7272 Rue Saint-Patrick, Lasalle
