Special Screening: The Poe Morgue

THE POE MORGUE is a multi-dimensional experience of vintage films unearthed from the Film Society archives, live atmospheric theatre and music. See a 1928 silent version of Fall of the House of Usher in 16mm with live piano accompaniment and more modern shorts including adaptations of Annabel Lee and The Telltale Heart.

As an added treat, live on stage, former Westmounter and actor James Malloch (of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE) will recite two of Poe’s most famous poems in a way that will have you spellbound. For fans of all things horror, we promise to deliver an evening of disturbing delights that will stay with you until the day you lay your coffin, buried (alive?!).

In collaboration with The Film Society of Montreal.

This event is not recommended for children under 13 years old.
