Property Taxes: First instalment due February 24, 2023

The 2023 property tax bills were mailed out on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The deadline for the first payment is Friday, February 24, 2023. You can also view your tax bill online on VOILÀ! Online Property Portal.

Property tax payment deadlines:

• the deadline for the second payment is Friday, May 26, 2023.

Methods of payment:

Accepted payment methods are (in order of preference):

• through your financial institution, online, by phone, or in-branch;
• by mail by sending a cheque to the City of Westmount (TAXES), P.O. Box 334, SUCC. Westmount, QC, H3Z 2T5;
• in person at 4333 Sherbrooke Street West by cheque, debit or cash (cheques may be inserted in the envelope slot on the front door);
• by credit card or bank transfer on the ACCEO platform only (service fees from ACCEO Solutions apply).

Penalties

Payment can be made in two instalments. An interest rate of 9% per annum will be charged on the unpaid balance. A penalty of 0.5% per month on the outstanding principal will also be charged to a maximum of 5%, over and above the interest charges.
